Salvation Army Churches in Malaysia

Heart to God, hand to man

Kuala Lumpur Corps

The Salvation Army Corps is the local church in the community. It is a place for worship and fellowship. Although many know us best for our social and community work, The Salvation Army Corps is a congregation of Christians who seek to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ in today's society.

Members are called Salvationists. The army's mission is guided by four essential elements in it's evangelical endeavour. They are worship, biblical teaching, fellowship and social concern. Each of these are observed and practised in the Army. There are also programmes for children and young people.

Leadership in The Salvation Army is provided by officers who are ordained ministers. They may take on social work, pastoral teaching or administrative roles. Soldiers are lay people who come from all walks of life. They serve alongside officers in the battle against sin under the motto "Heart to God, hand to man".
