Captain Anjana Sanjay Khristi - Headquarters Mumbai

Captain Anjana Sanjay Khristi
Territorial Headquarters, Mumbai

I had my regular health check while I was pregnant but to my disappointment the doctor told me that I infected jaundice. The doctors worried since I was almost to deliver a baby and I was admitted in the well known Wadia hospital in Mumbai. Hardly two days passed and pain started to give birth to a premature baby boy and he died soon. This was a great shock to me and my husband. We both lifted our eyes above for comfort. My relatives and husband told me later how serious I was screaming and suffering in the Intensive Care Unit for 24 hours.

Our pastors (officers) from Headquarters rushed to the hospital only to be informed that jaundice has even affected the brain. Our leader Commissioner Mohan Masih requested the doctor to give the best medical care stating that he would be approaching the Great Physician the Lord Jesus Christ. He called all the pastors of The Salvation Army and prayed outside the ward for nearly 20 minutes at the corner of the fourth floor. My husband told me that after prayer they all confidently declared “God answered our prayers”. All the women of Home League also prayed with tears and I was discharged within few days. I would say God is great and I am alive today. I thank God for the new life given to me and encourage you to ask the Lord for needs of any kind.
