Testimony: Rejesh Kumar Sahu

I thank God for this opportunity that I could write about my experience and the wonderful way God has guided me so far in my life. I had joined in the Christian Medical College, Ludiana in August 2004, after completing my class XII education directly. Its been a great journey of learning and also of getting close to my Creator. As a first year student, when I started my life in this college, I did not know that how challenging life would get but surely it was the Grace of God that has carried me throughout. I stand on the last lap of becoming a full fledged doctor and I realize that the responsibility in this profession is paramount and the stress sometimes too much to bear, but I still believe that God will carry me through. My parents – Major & Mrs. R. K. Sahu always believed in me and took the decision to support my studies. Despite the massive financial burden makes me thank God for their lives. The years of dedicated service that they have rendered to God's work in The Salvation Army and their life have inspired me to work more in the future in the mission area.

After completing the very tough final examinations in December 2008 successfully, I was granted temporary license to practice as an Intern in my College Hospital. I am currently working in the Emergency Department and it is a challenging service. After completing my Internship, I would be serving in The Salvation Army Hospital for two years. The learning has not stopped and neither has the opportunity to become a better servant of God.

I would take this opportunity to thank all my relatives and friends in India as well as abroad for their support in my life. I also thank the leaders of The Salvation Army for their interest and concern in me. I request all the readers of The War Cry to uphold me and my service for the sick and suffering continuously in your prayers.

May God bless you all.
