Executive Officers Council at Red Shield Beach Resort, Kerala
Executive Officers Council was conducted by the Territorial leaders during 18-19 June 2009 at Kovalam Beach Red Shield Guests house. The event was led by Colonel D. Jay Paul, Territorial Commander and Colonel Yesudayamma Devarapally TPWM and supported by Lt. Colonel M. Ponniah, Chief Secretary and Lt. Colonel Sathiabama Ponniah TSWM; All the Executive Officers with their wives attended the council. The Chief Secretary launched the council with welcome words.
June 18 at 09.30 a.m. Bible Study was conducted by the Territorial Commander. It was based on the verses Psalm 27:4. The delegates were separated in to five groups and were given thirty minutes to discuss. At 11.00 a.m. a reporting session was held when all the Divisional Commanders and District officers presented their report on the ongoing work.
At the 2.00 p.m. Major K.M. Gabriel, Financial Secretary presented a finance report. He talked in detailed about our income sources. Major P.S. Johnson, the Property Secretary presented a report on the property asset. He also emphasized the proper use of our land. At 07.30 p.m. an evening devotion was led by Colonel M. Ponniah Chief Secretary.
On June 19 at 09.00 a.m. the Territorial Commander conducted a Bible Study on Ezra 7:10. The colonel talked about the balanced life of a leader. He also mentioned leadership was nothing but influence.
The final session was held at 04.00 p.m. by the control of Chief Secretary. Colonel Yesudayamma Devarapalli TPWM delivered a short message on the sustenance of God based on Joel 2:23.
On the Second day Colonel (Dr) D. Jay Paul Devarapalli the Territorial Commander did Bible study on “Balanced Leadership” basing 7:10. This was much helpful to all leaders. The final meeting was led by the Chief Secretary. Colonel Yesudayamma Devarapally has given a short talk basis of Joel 2:23 our: God, all sufficiency”.
The Territorial Commander has given a challenging message from Psalm 139: 23, 24 to the officers. . The Colonel exhorted the delegates about the following needs in their spiritual lives.
Self-Examination, Self-Renunciation & Self-Dedication.
The Colonel's message touched the heart of the officers and led them to dedicate themselves in the presence of God. Certainly this gathering will make causes for change in India South Western Territory.
