Inauguration of Veer Project New Delhi, INT

"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. We are thankful to God who has given a greatest vision to our Territorial Leaders, Commissioners K.V. and Kusum Lahase. The Commissioners took much interest and initiative to start this Veer Project in Delhi. By this project our Territorial Leaders want to give education and bring development among the street children who are going in wrong direction without any goal in their lives.
Many children are wandering in the streets and disturbing the society, pick pocketing, drug addiction etc. Many are collecting scraps to earn money for their guardians. Some children are begging on streets for their daily living. They do not have interest to study, they need only money for their meals. Many children are living in Railway stations, Bus stand, Cinema hall, under the bridge, staying in open areas, parks and footpath. Some children are living with their parents/guardians but without getting love, care and concern for them.
We are very grateful to our Territorial Leaders that their vision has became successful. 28th July 2009 is a blessed day that Veer Project was inaugurated by Commissioner K.V. Lahase, Territorial Commander. The ribbon cutting ceremony was done by Honorable guest Mr. Sunil Kakkar, the Counselor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi. All officers and employees of T.H.Q. and the local people also joined in this opening ceremony.
Major Joginder Masih, the Social Secretary has explained the motto of this project. The Territorial Commander spoke with the street children and encouraged them by the inspiring words “if you will learn properly and talk with each other with good manners, surely the society will accept you. We will teach you and guide you”. Commissioner K.V. Lahase suggested them to “change their directions, leave their bad habits, then only they can be a good model in a society and get good respect and standard of living”. Finally the Commissioner prayed for the street children and their families.
We are very grateful to our Territorial/IHQ Leaders for their vision of helping and changing the lives of street children. We are also very thankful for the Donors of this project and their help to these children.
