God's hand has been upon my life from surviving car crashes and my salvation to healing my wife of cancer. 11 years into youth ministry I find myself being a Youth Consultant and main point person for Canada & Bermuda Territory's youth and young adult website - SendTheFire.ca. We felt warm and welcomed and we quickly knew it would be our new church home. I made a couple life-long friends there and took lots of classes eventually leading to becoming a Salvation Army Soldier a year ago. Every Sunday I enjoy playing in the Band and occasionally am part of the Youth Music Ministry Team or the drama group or any other groups we start. I am now taking a Bachelor’s of Social Science with a Major in Criminology. With this degree I am hoping to help victims and/or offenders of crime. Amanda Baldwin

Amanda Baldwin

I'm about the most scatter-brained person you'll ever meet. It's not that I'm unorganized, but I like to shove things aside. Project after project gets started (not always completed), because there are so many things I want to do for God. I love to worship Him in leadership, administration, art, music - you name it, I absolutely love to do it. Sometimes I wonder if I should even be in school, because it takes so much time away from the ministry I can feel growing beneath my feet. I don't know quite what it is yet, but I'm here for the long-haul. I'm excited to be on fire for God, and I'm looking forward to meeting with like-minded people from all over the world, at the WYC!
