Tabita Khokhar

|
My name is Tabita Khokhar. I am 20 years old. I am
Soldier of Delhi Citadel Corps, India Northern Territory. I am
pursuing BBA (Bachelors of Business Administration). Lord does
wonderful things in my life. The most important is my life in Him.
Born and brought up in Christian family, my parents are Officers
of The Salvation Army. It does not mean that I am a true Christian
unless I possess all the characteristics of being a Christian. I
do many activities in church or at school like Christmas play,
singing, volunteering, etc. Since I used to perform in the church I never
realized God’s presence in my life. But in 2007, VBS (Vacation
Bible School programme) I came to know what He wants from me and
what works He provided me, so I started reading Bible, doing
prayers and started fasting. I tried to follow God’s ways and
want to lead my life according to His plans. When I was in Dhaka (Bangladesh), I was very much
motivated towards God. My principal and teachers guided me
spiritually. There were number of students who were partly divided
in small groups. And there were five groups. Each group has a
leader. I was one of the leaders. I used to lead my group in
prayers, reading Bible and explaining them the portion from the
word of God. I had really an amazing experience in my life in
those days. In those two years, I gained a lot from my teachers at
school as well as my parents at home. So, I thank God that he is
growing me in His name day by day. It’s written in Ecclesiastes
12:1 “remember your creator in the days of your youth, before
the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”. So I am leading my life in God’s fear. And thank
Him for giving me all the blessings which I never dreamt of. I
love Jesus. |
