Warmest Christian greetings for 2009 from the International Women's Ministries team! This year, our theme as we travel and teach will be 'Every Tribe and Every Language', taken from Revelation 7:9. We celebrate the outreach by The Salvation Army into new communities and ethnic groups. Let us encourage the learning of all kinds of languages - and most of all, the language of love.

Korean Salvationists enthusiastically celebrated The Salvation Army's existence in their country as they rejoiced in the evidence of God's blessings witnessed in its 100 years. The celebration included worship through traditional dance, modern praise, prayer, scriptural encouragement and challenge for the future. The territory values the development of missions and hopes to send 100 officers to overseas appointments.

Seven Canadian women visited various corps in Tanzania delivering the Word of God through teaching, preaching and singing. They sang songs wherever they went; many were translated into Kiswahili. The message in the songs was understood. How different it was to see Canadians singing in our language! Not only did they sing, but they danced and dressed in Kitenges like Tanzanians. This reminded me of Heaven, where there will be no colour or nationality; together we will sing one united song as God's children.
