New ISJC Director Announced 29/03/2012
Lieut-Colonel Geanette Seymour, an officer of the Australian Eastern Territory currently serving at International Headquarters as the Senior Policy Analyst and Intern Programme Co-ordinator, International Social Justice Commission, is appointed as the Director of the International Social Justice Commission effective 1 July, 2012. She succeeds Commissioner M. Christine MacMillan, who will be retiring from active service 30 June, 2012.
Lieut-Colonel Seymour has been an officer of The Salvation Army for almost 40 years. Her experience includes corps ministry, officer training, direct welfare provision, social programmes and appointments at both divisional and territorial headquarters in her native Australia.
Before her appointment to International Headquarters at the International Social Justice Commission in New York, Lieut-Colonel Seymour was Chief Secretary in the Australia Eastern Territory.
