The Salvation Army - Manitoba & North West Ontario Division
Help and Hope since 1886
Internationally, The Salvation Army is structured into territories that cover the globe, under the direction of the International Headquarters in London, England. Each territory is further structured into divisions. Locally, The Salvation Army is designated as the Manitoba & North West Ontario Division, as part of the Canada & Bermuda Territory. The Territorial Headquarters is in Toronto and the Divisional Headquarters is in Winnipeg. The Manitoba & North West Ontario Division has operations in many cities and towns, including Winnipeg, Brandon, Dauphin, Portage La Prairie, Thompson, Flin Flon, The Pas, Kenora, Fort Frances and Thunder Bay. Several other small communities in the Division also have Salvation Army Service Extension Units.
Ultimately, all of these provincial Salvation Army operations, and indeed operations worldwide, work to make life better for all. The Salvation Army develops programs and strategies specifically to address the social and spiritual needs of a community. From an emergency shelter in Thunder Bay, to a food bank in Brandon, from a church corps in downtown Winnipeg, to a Thrift Store in Flin Flon, The Salvation Army is here to help communities grow and thrive.
