Thrift Stores
Great quality, great value, great cause
Most cities in Canada are home to Salvation Army Thrift Stores. In the Manitoba & North West Ontario Division, there are Thrift Stores in Winnipeg (7), Brandon, Dauphin, The Pas, Flin Flon, Kenora, Thompson, Thunder Bay (2), Neepawa, Sioux Lookout, Dryden and Geraldton. In small communities the stores are operated by the local Army Corps. All proceeds stay in the community. In larger centres, such as Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, the Thrift Stores are administered through Salvation Army National Recycling Operations (NRO) and divided into regions. Locally, the NRO Prairies Region encompasses all Thrift Stores in Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Regina and Saskatoon.
The goal of all Thrift Stores is the same - to provide high quality clothing, furniture and household items at affordable prices. Proceeds generated through these operations are used to fund The Army'a vital community programs.
We rely entirely on donations to fill our stores. Drop them in a Salvation Army collection bin, or call 1-800-PLS-GIVE for free pick up services. Winnipeg callers can dial 953-1500.
