Individuals receiving a Partial Pension, on Unemployment Insurance, Social Assistance (Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program), and any persons on a Low-Income (earning minimum wage or working part-time)

Our assistance is generally given in cases of emergencies or as a supplement to Ontario Social Assistance when considered essential.

Please be advised that we do not provide any financial assistance for Bus Tickets, Rent or Utilities

Clothing Vouchers
Clothing vouchers are issued every four (4) months for emergencies only. This includes: for adults, one (1) complete outfite (top, bottom, underwear & socks only); for children, a $10.00 voucher will be issued.

Household Vouchers
Proof of Income and Rent Receipt is required for all assistance. Furniture vouchers are issued once every five (5) years. Household Items vouchers are issued once a year. Furniture vouchers include a bed only. Household vouchers include: Dishes, Utensils, Bedding, Pots/Pans & Small Kitchen Appliances.

Kids Camp/Mom & Tots Camp
Every summer we have the opportunity to send underprivileged kids/mom and their tots to a week of sunshine and fun to one of The Salvation Army camps, where they can enjoy swimming, campfires, rock climbing, canoeing, sports and other adventurous activities. 

Back To School Program
Every August we work with Sleeping Country Canada to provide Back Packs and school supplies to children going to school. (Kindergarten to Grade 12) 

Coats for Kids & Folks Program
Keeping warm can be a challenge, so for the month of November, with the help of our Community, we provide a Coat Drive for children and adults within Simcoe County. 

Christmas Assistance/Adopt A Family
During the Christmas season we are able to provide assistance for those who are in need, by assisting with food and toys. Also, we run the Adopt-A-Family Program where we work with local businesses/families who sponsor families in need, with gifts and a Christmas Dinner. 

Back To Work Program
If an individual is seeking employment and provides proof that they have work, we are able to assist with a pair of gently used steel-toed work boots. This is available all year. 

The Baby's Closet
Through our Closet we are able to help those parents who struggle with the cost of parenthood with supplies such as diapers, formula and baby food. This is available all year. 

Good Food Box
We are an order site for the Good Food Box, which can be order before every second Tuesday of the month, $10.00 for a small box and $15.00 for a large box. These boxes include fresh fruits and vegetables and are available to anyone in the community. 

Men's Fellowship Night
Every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:00pm we open our doors to men in our community for a fun-filled night of cards, darts, board games and movies. This program runs from the beginning of September to the end of May.
