Community and Family Services
The Salvation Army operates Community and Family Services to help meet the immediate and short term needs of hundreds of people throughout Saskatchewan.
Statistics Canada confirms that there are more than one million individuals and more than three-quarters of a million families living below the poverty line. People who, despite government social safety net programs, have limited financial resources left for food and other necessities after the rent has been paid, have little option but to turn to charitable agencies such as The Salvation Army for assistance.
Community and Family Services offer emergency welfar assistance, emergency disaster services and family and individual counselling. (Services may differ in communities. Please contact your local Community and Family Services Office to find out what services are available in your area.)
